Nicole Edwards, Michigan
Sr., Winnipeg, Manitoba / Vincent Massey
Edwards recorded the nation's fourth-fastest time in the 800-meter run at Eastern Michigan last weekend, winning the event with a time of 2:04.81.  The senior's mark far exceeded the regional qualifying standard by over five seconds and stands as a new personal-best.  The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native garners her second career outdoor weekly honor.

Last MICH Track Athlete of the Week: Tiffany Ofili (4/3/07)

Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Liz Roehrig, Minnesota
Jr., Chilton, Wis. / Chilton

At the Kansas Relays, Roehrig smashed her own school record in the heptathlon with a winning score of 5,740.  While competing in the multi-event, the junior gopher also broke the high jump school record, clearing 6-0 (1.83).  Both of her records met the Olympic Trials B Standard and the NCAA regional qualifying mark.  Her heptathlon total currently ranks second in the country and was 10 points shy of the Olympic A Standard.  Roehrig takes home her third career outdoor Field Athlete of the Week laurel.
