Co-Players of the Week

Katie Brown, Iowa

Brown was instrumental in Iowa's two Big Ten wins this weekend as the sophomore went 5-for-6 (.833) with three home runs, six RBI and scored three runs against Illinois to finish the series with a 2.500 slugging percentage in those two games.  The two wins improved the Hawkeyes to a 14-6 record in Big Ten play and a No. 3 seed in this weekend's conference tournament.  On Saturday against the Illini, Brown went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBI and a run scored in a 5-2 win.  On Sunday, the Spirit Lake, Iowa, native batted a perfect 3-for-3 with two homeruns, four RBI and three runs scored.  The Hawkeyes won the Big Ten regular season finale, 12-6.  This is Brown's first career weekly honor.

Nicole Pauly, Northwestern

Pauly earns her third career weekly honor in leading Northwestern to a share of the Big Ten regular season title in two wins against Michigan State over the weekend.  The sophomore was a perfect 5-for-5 with a home run, three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored against the Spartans.  Pauly opened the series going 2-for-2 with two doubles, drawing two walks and scoring a run in the 6-3 win.  On Sunday, the Palatine, Ill., native was 3-for-3 with a homerun, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in a 6-1 victory.

Pitcher of the Week

Jordan Taylor, Michigan
Fr., P, Valencia, Calif. / Valencia

Taylor collected two wins against Penn State to lead Michigan to a share of the Big Ten regular season crown over the weekend.  In game one of the series, Taylor pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up just two hits and striking out three as the Wolverines won, 2-0.  In Sunday's game, the Valencia, Calif., native pitched a complete game shutout, scattering five hits and striking out five in the 3-0 win.  Taylor finished the regular season with a 27-2 record and an ERA of 0.70.  She is the all-time winningest pitcher in U-M program history.  This is Taylor's second career weekly laurel.
