Championship Game

Purdue 3, Ohio State 1: It's time to celebrate in West Lafayette. The Purdue Boilermakers beat the Ohio State Buckeyes, 3-1, in Sunday's championship game to claim the 2007 Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament.

The win at Minnesota's Robbie Stadium marks Purdue's first conference crown -- regular season or tournament -- and improved the Boilermakers record to 19-2-2. Full Story...

Semifinal Games

Ohio State 3, Penn State 2 (2OT, OSU Advances on PKs, 5-4): Ohio State upset Penn State thanks to a shootout victory in Friday's semifinal of the Big Ten Championship.

Tied 2-2 after regulation and a pair of overtimes, the Buckeyes tallied a 5-4 advantage in penalty kicks to complete the upset and advance to Sunday's conference title game.

Purdue 3, Illinois 0: No. 8 Purdue (18-2-2) shutout Illinois (11-6-2) 3-0 in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament Friday night at the University of Minnesota.

The Boilermakers' victory over the Illini was its second of the year and first again them in the Big Ten Tournament. An eight-time conference tournament qualifier, No. 2 seed Purdue will be making its championship match debut against No. 5 seed Ohio State Sunday at 1 p.m. CT/2 p.m. ET.

Quarterfinal Games

Penn State 3, Iowa 1: No. 14 Northwestern defeated Wisconsin 3-1 Thursday morning in the first quarterfinal of the Big Ten Men's Soccer Championship at Michigan State's Old College Field.

David Roth led the way for the Wildcats (12-3-4), scoring two goals on his only two shots. Mark Blades also added a goal and an assist.

Ohio State 2, Indiana 1: Sophomore Ashley Bowyer scored in overtime off an assist from Lara Dickenmann to give No. 5 seed Ohio State a 2-1 victory over No. 4 Indiana Thursday.

Dickenmann, who has either scored or assisted on five overtime game-winning goals this season, sent a cross toward the goal that Bowyer slid for and got enough of a shot off to send the ball by Hoosier goalkeeper Lauren Hollandsworth.

The Boilermakers scored three unanswered goals following Hans' tally 61 seconds into Thursday's quarterfinal tussle to claim a 3-1 victory at Minnesota.

Illinois 2, Minnesota 2 (2OT, Illinois advances on PKs, 4-3: The Illinois soccer team captured a dramatic win after a thrilling battle against Minnesota, as the Illini surged from behind in the final minutes of regulation to force double overtime before edging the Gophers, 4-3, in a penalty kick shootout in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament. Senior midfielder Kara Gostisha scored Illinois' first goal of the game then capped off the night with the game-winning penalty kick to propel the Illini into the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament. No. 3 seed Illinois (11-5-2) will face No. 2 seed Purdue (17-2-2) on Friday at 8 p.m. at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.
