The Golden Gopher junior-to-be was 6-of-8 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. In fact, Knight was perfect from the floor and the line in the third and fourth period and outscored Horsholm's entire team, 6-5, in the final quarter. With the win, the Big Ten All-Stars moved to 2-0 in their four-game tour. Illinois' Lori Bjork and Northwestern's A.J. Glasauer each posted nine points, followed by Ohio State's Tamarah Riley with eight and Iowa's Megan Skouby and Penn State's Brianne O'Rourke with six apiece. Riley currently leads the All-Stars in scoring with 10.5 points per game and is second in rebounding with five boards per game, behind Skouby and Wisconsin's Danielle Ward who are averaging six caroms per contest. The Big Ten All-Stars were slow out of the gate Friday, turning the ball over on its first three possessions, which included a 10-second backcourt violation. O'Rourke was instrumental in getting the All-Stars out of their funk as she converted two three-point plays following hard drives to the basket. Knight scored the final five points of the first period to give the Big Ten squad a 22-10 advantage. The pace slowed considerably in the second period as the Big Ten salvaged only two points in the final four minutes and was outscored by Horsholm, 19-15, and led 37-29 at half. The All-Stars made sure that the third period would not end the way the second did, as Knight and Indiana's Leah Enterline scored the team's final eight points, including six by Knight, with just under three minutes remaining. The Big Ten squad opened the final quarter up 59-44 and slammed the door shut with a 19-5 run in the final 10-minute period. In addition to Knight's stellar play, Purdue's Katie Gearlds netted four points by proved to be a force on both sides of the court with six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Riley bested all rebounders with seven, while Bjork and Gearlds (3 assists each), Ward (3 steals) and Skouby (3 blocks) led in their respective categories. For the game, the All-Stars shot 41 percent (30-of-74) from the floor and missed just one free throw in 14 attempts (.929) after yesterday's struggles when they made only 20 of their 30 attempts. The win Friday marked the team's 21st-consecutive win over a five-year span. Since the inception of the Tour in 1992, which has been held annually except for 2003, the All-Stars have gone 53-18 (.746). The Big Ten will complete its three-game set in Denmark on Saturday when the conference squad faces the Copenhagen All-Stars. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time or 8 a.m. central. The team will depart for Malmo, Sweden following the game, which will force a delay in the report for game three. From Denmark...
