The event's first game will feature the Michigan Wolverines (16-12, 9-9 Big Ten) against the Penn State Lady Lions (13-17, 4-14).

12:02 p.m. ET: The ball is in the air and we are set for Big Ten Women's Hoops!

1st, 15:54, TIMEOUT (MEDIA): Michigan 8, Penn State 8

A FIRST FOR THE COACHES: Keep in mind that this Big Ten Tournament atmosphere is a first for both Michigan's Kevin Borseth and Penn State's Coquese Washington. The two conference newcomers join Illinois' Jolette Law and Michigan State's Suzy Merchant as rookie coaches in the league this season. Bigten.org highlighted the four new coaches prior to the season in a story that can be found here!

1st, 10:56, TIMEOUT (MEDIA): Michigan 15, Penn State 10

A LOOK INTO THE TOURNAMENT SERIES: Michigan and Penn State have met twice in Big Ten Tournament history. The No. 7 seed Lady Lions won the first matchup between the two teams in 1998 with a 87-81 overtime win over the No. 3 Wolverines in the semifinals. No. 5 Michigan then bested No. 4 Penn State in the 2001 quartefinals with a 66-60 win.

2nd, 12:47, TIMEOUT (PSU): Penn State 43, Michigan 40

2nd, 11:12, TIMEOUT (MEDIA): Michigan 44, Penn State 43
Michigan has taken the lead back thanks in part to the play of Krista Clement. The Wolverine center had just 3 points at halftime and as already reached 10 for the game.

Michigan has opened up to its biggest lead of the game. Penn State is still stuck on 43, now a five-minute scoreless streak.

2nd, 6:59, TIMEOUT (MEDIA): Michigan 52, Penn State 43
Penn State is still stuck on 43 and the momentum is well in Michigan's corner. The Wolverines have not won a Big Ten Tournament game since 2004.

Tyra Grant has ended the scoreless run with a 3-pointer from the wing.

2nd, 3:20, TIMEOUT (MEDIA): Michigan 57, Penn State 52
This is the closest game the two teams have played in the series this season. Penn State beat Michigan, 68-57, on Jan. 20, but the Wolverines rebounded to score a win in Ann Arbor on Feb. 7, 68-53.

2nd, 2:29, TIMEOUT (PSU): Michigan 57, Penn State 52

2nd, 1:16, TIMEOUT (PSU): Michigan 62, Penn State 52
Penn State is in the midst of another scoreless run. The Lady Lions look tired on the floor, having thrown up a couple of air balls in the last two minutes.

FINAL: Michigan 64, Penn State 54
It's the end of the season for one and perhaps the start of a new era in Ann Arbor. Kevin Borseth has coached his squad the its first Big Ten Tournament win since 2004, while Penn State, the winner of the 1995 and 1996 postseason event, ended its season with its 12th-straight defeat.
