Men's Track Athletes of the Week

Brian Kaluf, Purdue
Sr., St. John, Ind. / Lake Central
Kaluf won both his events at the Dan Rankin Invitational last weekend, setting career-bests in the 110- and 400-meter hurdle races.  His winning times of 14.20 and 52.09, respectively, met the regional qualifying standards.  The senior Boilermaker takes home his first career weekly accolade.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Aaron Studt, Minnesota
So., Ripon, Wis. / Ripon
Studt recorded a new personal-best in the shot put by over three feet last weekend winning the event with a throw of 62-7.50 (19.09).  The sophomore's mark is the sixth ranked heave in the country, third-best in school history and also qualifies him for NCAA Regionals.  The next day, Studt added his second career 60-plus feet throw at the Carleton Relays claiming the event with a toss of 60-10.50 (18.55).  The Ripon, Wis., native also placed first in the hammer throw posting a 176-3 (53.72).  Studt is honored with his first Field Athlete of the Week award.
