Ohio State (16-3-5) advanced to the NCAA round of four after ousting Bradley, 4-0, in quarterfinal action.  The Buckeyes will make their first ever appearance in the NCAA semifinals when they meet Massachusetts (17-7-1) on Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. ET in Cary, N.C.  The Minutemen also make their first ever appearance in the semifinals.  These two teams have never met on the soccer field.            

With its win on Sunday, Ohio State continues to ride an impressive unbeaten streak which now stands at 14 games (11-0-3).  During this span, OSU has faced seven nationally ranked opponents and has outscored the competiton 21-7. 

Goalkeeper Casey Latchem posted his 14th shutout of the season and 26th on his career adding to both of his school records.  Senior forward Xavier Balc has tallied 80 career points which ranks third all-time in program history after a two-goal effort against the Braves.              

With a win on Friday, the Buckeyes will play for the national title on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. ET in Cary, N.C.  OSU would either face ACC squads Virginia Tech (14-3-5) or Wake Forest (20-2-2) in a game to be aired live by ESPN2.
