PARK RIDGE, Ill. - The 2007 Big Ten Men's Soccer Championship bracket is set and was released today by the conference office.  Conference teams closed out their Big Ten and regular season schedules on Sunday.  This year's event, hosted by Michigan State University, kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 8 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 11. 


Indiana clinched the regular season title and the No. 1 seed heading into the Big Ten Championship with a 0-0 tie against Wisconsin today. As the top seed, Indiana receives a first-round bye and will play the first quarterfinal winner (No. 4 Penn State vs. No. 5 Michigan State) at 1:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 9.


Ohio State closed out its Big Ten schedule with a 2-0 win against Michigan State in the final game of the regular season. The Buckeyes garner the No. 2 seed in the Championship and will face No. 7 seed Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m. ET.


No. 3 Northwestern ended the season with a record of 3-2-1 and will match up against sixth-seeded Wisconsin, with a conference mark of 0-3-3.


Penn State finished the conference regular season with a 2-2-2 mark to earn the No. 4 seed. The Nittany Lions will play in the first quarterfinal game on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. ET against a fifth-seeded Michigan State team that posted a 2-3-1 record in conference play.


The Big Ten Network and CSTV will televise the 2007 Big Ten Men's Soccer Championship, providing television coverage of the semifinals and finals for the first time in conference history.  The semifinals will be aired live by the Big Ten Network on Friday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. ET.  The championship contest will be played on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. ET with both Big Ten Network and CSTV providing live coverage.  The Big Ten Network will broadcast the contest on either a regional basis or alternate channels.
