Omole shattered his own conference and school records in the 60-meter dash at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on Saturday. The senior won the dash with an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 6.55, marking the fastest collegiate time in the nation and the third-fastest time in the world this indoor season. Omole set the previous record of 6.62 in 2005 and then tied it in 2006 and again last weekend. This marks Omole's second consecutive award and his fourth career indoor honor.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Michael Whitehead, Michigan
Sr., Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area
Whitehead qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championships with a first-place finish in the triple jump at the Meyo Invitational. The senior's leap of 52'06.75" is the longest in Michigan history, besting the previous mark by over two inches. This is Whitehead's first career indoor honor and the first field award for the Wolverines this season.
