CHAMPAIGN, Illinois (Ticker) -- Austin Starr kept Illinois from building on a big win.

Starr kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired to lead Indiana to a 34-32 victory over Illinois in a Big Ten Conference matchup.

Illinois (2-4, 1-2 Big Ten) was coming off a 23-20 victory over Michigan State last week, its first conference win since 2004, and the Fighting Illini jumped out to a big early lead Saturday but could not hold on.

Trailing 22-7 after the first quarter and 25-21 at the break, Indiana took its first lead on a 98-yard kickoff return by Marcus Thigpen to open the second half.

Illinois regained the lead, 32-31, on a 27-yard touchdown pass from DaJuan Warren to Jody Ellis with 46 seconds left in the third quarter.

Indiana (3-3, 1-1) started its final drive at its own 20 with 2:31 to play. Kellen Lewis started the march with a seven-yard run and completed 5-of-7 passes for 59 yards to set Starr up for his game-winning kick.

Lewis completed 20-of-39 passes for 240 yards and added 47 yards rushing and a TD on 11 carries for Indiana, which was coming off a 52-17 loss to Wisconsin.
