Big Ten Names Player of the Week

Cyrus Tate, Iowa Tate averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds on the week. The Chicago native scored a career-high 26 points at Michigan State, hitting 10-of-13 field goals and was six-of-seven from the free-throw line. Tate also had nine rebounds versus the Spartans. In the win over Northwestern, he led the Hawkeyes with 18 points and 11 rebounds, recording his third career double-double. For the week, Tate shot 77 percent from the field while also averaging a block and two steals. This is the first career weekly honor for Tate. Last IOWA Player of the Week: Adam Haluska (2/4/07)
