Taylor earns his first Player of the Week accolade after averaging 18.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in a pair of victories last week. Taylor led the Badgers, tallying a season-high 25 points and five rebounds in a 72-69 victory over No. 5/5 Ohio State. The senior guard shot 62 percent from the field (5-of-8) while going 12-of-16 from the foul line (.750). It also marked the 12th 20-plus point performance of his career. Taylor then added 12 points and four rebounds in a 56-50 win at Northwestern on Saturday. The Minneapolis, Minn., native is only 17 points away from reaching the 1,000-point career plateau and currently ranks sixth in the Big Ten with 16.7 points per game in conference games only.
