Morrissey earns his first Player of the Week accolade after averaging 22.5 points per game and shooting 80.0 percent from the field (16-of-20) last week. The sophomore guard matched his career high with six three-pointers in each game last week to finish with a .750 shooting percentage from behind the arc. Against Northwestern, Morrissey went 6-of-9 from the three-point line (.667) to finish with a career-high 24 points, while adding a team-high tying six rebounds. With their 83-57 victory over Northwestern, the Nittany Lions registered the most points in Big Ten play since 2001 and the biggest victory margin since 2000. Morrissey closed out the week against Purdue, registering 21 points and a team-high four assists. The Cleveland, Ohio, native, currently ranks third in the conference with 2.67 three-pointers made per game this season.
