Michigans Min Yean Tan set the schools 72-hole freshman record of 305 at the recent Big Ten Championships to tie for 19th in the event. The Test of Time
Michigan's Min Yean Tan finally has a chance to slow down a little. After completing her whirlwind freshman year in Ann Arbor, Tan has returned to her homeland of Penang Island, Malaysia for a two-month stretch that will certainly involve doing things on her own time. Full story...

Former Michigan great George Sisler went on to star for the St. Louis Browns and had the Major League Baseball record for hits in a season until Seattles Ichiro Suzuki broke his mark in 2004. Michigan Made to Better Baseball
Prior to Michigan baseball entering Big Ten action in 1918, the Wolverines boasted a player and coach that would later become two of the most pivotal figures in Major League Baseball history. In 1911, native Ohioan George Sisler came to Ann Arbor with the hopes of playing for Branch Rickey. In just a few years time, the two would begin a relationship that would continue in the major leagues and on into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Full story...

As a freshman, Michigans Nicole Edwards ran the anchor on the Wolverines Big Ten-winning DMR squad and turned around to run the lead leg two weeks later to help U-M win the national championship. A Longshot Landing

But little did the younger Tannenbaum know that karate was about discipline and technique, not about contact. Full story...

On Dec. 11, 1993, Cazzie Russell became the first Michigan basketball player to have his number retired. An Arena's Architect
It's not easy to build a house, and the process is far more difficult when there is just one builder. Being the lone architect of a sports stadium is impossible to say the least. But for the last 40 years, Michigan's Crisler Arena has commonly been referred to as "The House That Cazzie Built." For the record, Cazzie Russell will tell you himself that he did not actually build the Wolverines' basketball arena nor was he the sole reason behind it. He and his teammates from the mid-1960s just helped a basketball program become a little more popular at a football school. Full story...
